ABOUT US

The bodies of the Landesvereinigung are the General assembly, the Committee (Vorstand) and the Board of Management (Geschäftsführung). Decision-making and direction of the association are subject to democratic principles.

The General Assembly is composed of representatives from the trade associations and one representative from the general ( i.e. mixed-industries or other) employers’ organisations each. It establishes the budget, decides the contributions, elects the members of the Committee and discharges the Committee and the Board of Management.

The Committee is the highest governing body of the Landesvereinigung. It elects the President from among its members and appoints the General Manager.

The day-to-day running of the business is in the hands of the Board of Management. The President of the Landesvereinigung is Horst-Werner Maier-Hunke, the office is run by Dr. iur. Luitwin Mallmann, General Manager.

arbeitgeber nrw safeguards the common interests of entrepreneurs on the level of the federal state and represents them in the central employers’ organisation – the Bundesvereinigung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbände. The Landesvereinigung also supports its member association in the performance of their tasks by supplying information, offering advice and co-ordinating their activities.
